In a village called Bojongsari, Kedungreja District, there is a lake whose water comes from Citanduy River.
On Citanduy river there is a dan named Manganti. This is where water flows through farmers’ fields in two different districts, districts and provinces. From this manganti dam, water also runs through a reservoir or lake named Bojongrongga.
It called Lake or Bojongrongga Reservoir.
It is said that Bojong Rongga Lake is said to have an impression of a horror and haunted story. The reason, according to information from local community location of this lake is White Crocodile gathering area to do ascetic ritual.
Still according to people around Bojongsari area, lake was once so dark and people if you will cross area at night think twice.
But even this mystical story is now transformed into a beautiful Tourism Village and visited by many people both from within city and outside city.
Haunted and dark impression is now changing. Along lake Bojongrongga and alternative roads from Sidareja, through Kedungreja Cilacap, Central Java, heading towards Purwodadi, Ciawitali, Banjarsari, Lakbok, Ciamis Regency. Even in Langensari, Banjar City, West Java.
One of Lesehan owners in Lake Bojongrongga Asih, as published on Cilacap.info page, explained that she explained. Formerly this place was just an ordinary lake and at that time there was only one stall which later is now better known as Mbah Suro.
“There used to be only one stall here, that is only mbah suro. So if people knew Mbah Suro better, because Mbah Suro was first to establish a warung,” Asih explained, Sunday (06/16/2019).
Furthermore. Asih revealed that there are many stalls along Bojongrongga lake. It was just a duck about 4 years ago. and just like now not long ago.
“So, about 4 years ago there were only water ducks. Now, yes, it hasn’t been long since there has been a warung or lesehan along lake and there is a playground for children,” she said.
In addition to local visitors, Asih also said that there were quite a lot of visitors coming from outside city.
“The visitors who come from out of town for a vacation or want to hunt for culinary here are quite a lot from Purbalingga there,” she added.
