HANOI, Cilacap.info English – Indonesian Football National Team A-23 defeated Philippines 4-0 at Viet Tri Stadium, Vietnam, on Friday (13/05/2022) yesterday.
Muhamad Ridwan scored four goals for Garuda Muda in 17th minute, Rizky Ridho in 44th minute, Egy Maulana 74′, Marselino Ferdinand 84′ (penalty).
With this result, Indonesia A-23 National Team increasingly paved way to qualify for semifinals. In next match, Fachruddin and his friends will face Myanmar, Sunday (15/05/2022).
After match, coach of Indonesian A-23 National Team, Shin Tae-yong appreciated his team and was satisfied with this landslide victory. He also wants to meet again with Vietnam in 2021 SEA Games final.
“Players have worked hard in this match. Next we focus on Myanmar, we certainly want to win and qualify for semifinals,” said Shin Tae-yong.
South Korean coach added that he relied heavily on collectivity of team, both when defending and attacking.
“Football game I want relies on all players, so you don’t have to rely on attackers to score goals. Defenders don’t just defend and strikers attack. All positions can score goals,” added coach Shin Tae-yong.
In this match, Muhammad Ridwan was trusted to appear as a starter for first time at 2021 SEA Games. Ridwan fully paid his trust by contributing one goal against Philippines.
“Ridwan is playing for first time (as a starter). He has not much experience, but he must be given motivation and direction, so I played him today,” said Shin Tae-yong.
Shin Tae-yong said at 2021 SEA Games he would implement a rotation. In previous match against Philippines, Ridwan was withdrawn in second round making Irfan Jauhari.
