JAKARTA, Cilacap.info English">CILACAP.INFO – Commission IV DPR RI approved Budget Ceiling for Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) in 2021 RKAKL of IDR 21.83 trillion. Later on, budget ceiling will be used to carry out work plans to accelerate economic recovery and social reform.
“Commission IV of Indonesian House of Representatives hereby approves Budget Ceiling for Ministry of Agriculture of Rp. 21.83 trillion,” said Deputy Chairman of Commission IV DRP RI, Dedi Mulyadi, Monday, September 21, 2020.
Dedi explained that composition of budget is divided per Echelon which includes Secretariat General (Sekjen) of Rp 1.7 trillion. The Inspectorate General (Irjen) of Rp. 164 billion. The Directorate General of Food Crops Rp 4.91 trillion and Directorate General of Horticulture Rp 1.14 trillion.
Then there is also a budget at Directorate General of Plantation which reaches IDR 1.61 trillion, Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health IDR 2.13 trillion, Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities IDR 5.27 trillion, Food Security Agency IDR 767 billion, Quarantine Agency. Agriculture as much as IDR 1.11 trillion, Agricultural Research and Development Agency IDR 1.67 trillion, and Agricultural Extension and Human Resources Development Agency IDR 1.33 trillion.
Regarding this, Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo said that work focus of Ministry of Agriculture includes national work priorities, namely strengthening economic resilience for quality and equitable growth.
In addition, he said, there are two other priority programs that are interrelated with main priorities such as increasing availability of access and quality of food consumption as well as increasing added value, employment, investment in real deposits and industrialization.
“We have been able to achieve a lot from this time, for that I hope Ministry of Agriculture and Commission IV will continue to work together to advance Indonesia agricultural sector,” he said.
In same place, Member of Commission IV DPR RI, Suhardi Duka, assessed that approved budget could be implemented properly. This, said Suhardi, can be seen from increase in Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) from year to year which has a direct impact on welfare of Indonesian farmers.
“This budget has been given for benefit of farmers, for that we have to make sure that farmers are no longer in trouble. We have to give whatever farmers need because this is related to national interest,” he concluded. (*)
